Foundationless Floor Mounted Jib Cranes

A foundationless jib crane is a type of free standing jib crane that mounts directly to an existing reinforced concrete floor — no poured foundation required. Pouring a foundation can cost as much as the crane itself, takes weeks to cure, and requires coordinating outside contractors. A foundationless jib eliminates all of that.

Gorbel offers foundationless configurations across their work station, articulating, and tool solution jib crane lines. All mount to a minimum 6-inch reinforced concrete floor using 3/4-inch anchor bolts. TSOC is a Gorbel Master Distributor — shop stocked configurations below or contact us to discuss a custom application.

Why Choose a Foundationless Jib Crane?

The decision between a foundationless jib and a traditional free standing jib often comes down to four factors: cost, installation time, operational disruption, and long-term flexibility. Foundationless jibs have a clear advantage in all four.

  • Save Money — Pouring a foundation can cost as much as the jib crane itself. When you factor in labor, materials, and contractor fees, choosing a foundationless installation can save upwards of $5,000 in total project cost.
  • Save Time — A poured foundation requires weeks to cure before the jib crane can be installed. Foundationless jibs can be anchor-bolted to an existing concrete floor and put into service significantly faster — reducing downtime and keeping your project on schedule.
  • Simplify Installation — Foundation work requires coordinating outside concrete contractors, syncing multiple schedules, and potentially shutting down production in the affected area. A foundationless jib eliminates that complexity.
  • Stay Flexible — When there's no poured foundation, the crane isn't permanent. Foundationless jibs can be relocated as your operation changes — whether that means reconfiguring a work cell, moving to a new facility, or adjusting coverage as production needs evolve.

FS300-NP6 Foundationless Free Standing I-Beam Jib Crane

The FS300-NP6 is Gorbel's heavy-duty foundationless jib — a performance I-beam free standing crane that installs on an existing concrete floor without a poured foundation. It's the right choice when you need the structural capacity and high-cycle durability of a traditional free standing I-beam jib, but want to avoid the time and cost of foundation work.

The FS300-NP6 is available in select hub, span, and capacity combinations — not all configurations are available in the foundationless version, and larger or heavier models may require anchor bolt epoxy per Gorbel's installation requirements. Contact us to discuss your application and we'll work with Gorbel to configure the right crane for your facility.

TSJ50 / TSJ150 Foundationless Free Standing Tool Solution Jib Cranes

The TSJ50 and TSJ150 are Gorbel's lightweight foundationless tool solution jibs — compact, low-capacity cranes designed for tool suspension, balancer support, and cable management in tight work spaces. Their slim 4-inch square mast installs directly to an existing concrete floor without a poured foundation, making them an ideal solution for crowded production areas where floor space is limited and headroom is at a premium.

The TSJ50 and TSJ150 are available in free standing foundationless configurations with a range of hub and span options. Shop TSJ50 and TSJ150 foundationless tool solution jib cranes or contact us to discuss your application.

Specifications

  • Capacity: 50 lbs (TSJ50) and 150 lbs (TSJ150)
  • Spans: 4 to 10 feet (TSJ50); 4 to 12 feet (TSJ150)
  • Hub height: 8 to 10 feet
  • Rotation: Up to 180° (TSJ50); up to 200° (TSJ150)
  • Boom type: Enclosed track
  • Mounting: Slim 4-inch square mast; mounts to existing concrete floor; 3/4-inch anchor bolts required

Best applications

  • Suspending pneumatic tools, spring balancers, and air hoists at workstations
  • Managing cables, air hoses, and vacuum lines along the boom
  • Tight installations between machines where a larger jib mast won't fit
  • Low headroom applications where minimal bracket center clearance is required

AJ360-F-NP6 Foundationless Free Standing Articulating Jib Crane

The AJ360-F-NP6 is Gorbel's foundationless articulating jib — a dual-arm free standing crane that installs on an existing concrete floor and provides coverage in places a traditional jib crane can't reach. Where a standard jib crane has a single boom that rotates around a fixed mast, the articulating jib adds a second arm that folds and extends independently, allowing the load to be positioned around obstructions, through open doorways, and into machines. Both the primary and secondary arms rotate a full 360°.

The AJ360-F-NP6 is available in a range of hub, span, and capacity configurations — not all combinations are available in the foundationless version. Shop AJ360-F-NP6 foundationless articulating jib cranes or contact us to discuss your application.

Specifications

  • Capacity: 150, 250, 500, and 1,000 lbs
  • Spans: 8 to 16 feet
  • Hub height: 8 to 14 feet
  • Rotation: 360° on both primary and secondary arms
  • Boom type: Dual-arm articulating
  • Mounting: Baseplate mounted to existing concrete floor; 3/4-inch anchor bolts required; epoxy required for select configurations

Best applications

  • Loading and unloading into machines, presses, or enclosures with limited front access
  • Work cells where loads need to be positioned around columns, walls, or other obstructions
  • Applications requiring coverage close to the mast where a standard jib boom becomes difficult to rotate
  • Facilities that need articulating jib coverage but have no suitable wall or column for mounting
