Light Duty Jib Cranes
Gorbel's Tool Solutions Jib (TSJ) series are small jib cranes designed for suspending and balancing light loads at workstations. Available in 50 and 150 pound capacities, TSJ cranes come in free standing, wall mounted, and portable base configurations to fit virtually any work area layout.
Every TSJ crane includes an enclosed C-type track trolley with a 2-degree taper on both the track and trolley wheels — keeping the trolley centered, blocking debris from the running surface, and delivering smooth, non-binding travel across the full boom span.
Gorbel TSJ50: 50 Pound Capacity Jib Cranes
The TSJ50 is a low-profile, tie-rod style enclosed-track steel crane with 180 degrees of rotation, spans from 4 to 10 ft., and heights of 8 or 10 ft. Every TSJ50 includes a 75 lb. tool trolley as standard.
The free standing (TSJ50-FS) uses a 4-bolt foundationless base with a slim 4-inch square mast — no concrete anchoring required, with the boom bracket adjustable to any height along the mast. The wall mounted (TSJ50-WM) mounts to a wall or column with 13-inch bracket centers, making it well suited for low headroom applications where floor space is at a premium.

Gorbel TSJ150: 150 Pound Capacity Jib Cranes
The TSJ150 steps up to 150 lb. capacity and 200 degrees of rotation — 20 degrees more swing than the TSJ50, useful where the operator needs to reach slightly past the mast centerline. Spans run from 4 to 12 ft. in both free standing and wall mounted configurations.
The free standing (TSJ150-FS) adds tapered roller bearings for smooth low-effort rotation and an adjustable friction brake to control over-swing during high-repetition cycles. The wall mounted (TSJ150-WM) shares the same small bracket centers for low headroom applications and is available with optional air swivel, rotation stops, and motorized kit.
TSJ150 Portable Base Option
The portable base is exclusive to the TSJ150 and allows the crane to be lifted with a forklift and relocated without disassembly — useful for facilities where the crane needs to serve multiple workstations or move with a production line.
- Includes anchor bolts and adjustable leveling feet
- Fork pockets: 7-1/4 in. inside width, 3-1/2 in. inside depth, 20-1/2 in. centerline to centerline
- Base height: 4 in. minimum / 6 in. maximum floor to bottom of plate

- 3-inch or 6-inch Festoon Saddles — for applications requiring multiple cables and/or hoses
- Festoon Trolleys — for festooning of electrical cable and air hose
- Festoon Conductor — choose from flat cable, round cable (4 conductor), 3/8 in. I.D. air hose, or 1/2 in. I.D. air hose
- Adjustable Bumpers — limit hoist trolley travel at the end of the boom
- Vacuum Hose Festoon Clamp — clamps vacuum hose in place; includes extra snap ring and velcro loop
- Rotation Lock — 50 lb. capacity models only
- Color — Safety Blue (standard) or Safety Yellow; touch-up paint available
Design Standards
- Structurally designed per the AISC Steel Construction Manual
- Compliant with OSHA 1910.179 and ANSI B30.11 as they apply to jib cranes
- Meets or exceeds MMA MH27.2 for enclosed track systems
- Canadian standards: CSA B167-96 and CSA C22.2 No.33-M1984 (reaffirmed 2004) as they apply to overhead cranes
- Design factor: 15% of rated capacity for hoist weight; 25% of rated capacity for impact loads
Zero-Gravity Tool Suspension
Pairing a TSJ crane with a spring balancer creates a zero-gravity tool suspension setup — the tool floats at the operator's working height and moves with them rather than against them. This is particularly effective with heavier handheld tools: angle grinders, impact wrenches, pneumatic drills, sanders, and welding guns. Reducing the effort required to hold and maneuver these tools lowers the risk of repetitive strain injury and helps operators maintain consistent output across the workday.
