Example 1 - 15 Ton Mold Handling Crane

• Double Girder Top Running Bridge Crane.
• 46 ft. Span.
• Yale LodeKing LT was installed which has a minimal clearance above the trolley rail.
• Hoist provided precise control for mold handling by way of closed loop VFD.
• Available envelope for crane was very tight as we had roughly 3 ft- 6 in. of room from top of rail to lowest obstruction. We also only had 4.25 in. of clearance below the rail.
• Installation was done by our TSOC Crane crew.

Example 2 - 15 Metric Ton Class D Crane for Pipe Manufacturing Facility

• Double Girder Top Running Bridge Crane.
• Full Length G1 Walkway, G2 Service Platform and Crossover.
• 57 ft. – 0 in Span.
• Detroit Hoist with Closed Loop VFD Control.
• Scoreboard for readout of lifted load.
• No-Fly Zone program to allow hoist to only lift 10-Ton outside of designated area of runway that was upgraded to higher capacity.

Example 4 - 16-ton Top Running Double Girder Bridge Crane

• 33 ft. – 6 in bridge span installed onto existing runway structure.
• R&M Spacemaster hoist with 2-speed lift.
• 100 fpm 2-step VFD bridge speed and 65 fpm 2-step VFD trolley speed.

Example 5 – 15 Ton Semi Gantry Crane

• One End Truck rides on 138 feet of freestanding runway.
• The other End Truck rides on top flange of a concrete embedded wide flange beam.
• Bridge Speed: 120 fpm.

This customer was looking for a solution to be able to pick and place their molds in a repair work cell without having to tie up one of their existing overhead bridge cranes. The solution provided by TSOC allows the customer to move their molds the full length of the repair area while still allowing the (3) overhead cranes to travel through the area without stopping and causing delays in other parts of the facility. The gantry will be used to rotate molds for repair and inspections. The drums of the main hoist and auxiliary hoist are positioned so that they can be used in tandem so that the operator can rotate molds with minimal stress on the hoists. The wireless radio and backup pendant have A/B/Both controls so the operator has complete control of both hoists whether they are used together or separately. The hoist synchronization system ensures that when the hoists are used in tandem, they can never lift over the rated capacity.

Example 6 - 15-Ton Single Girder Top Running Bridge Crane

• 50 ft. Span.
• Provided stool-up bridge end trucks maximizing hook height and end approach along the runway.
• Yale YKC Load Headroom was installed providing maximum hook height.
• Bridge designed with 2-step VFD allowing the operator precision control of the bridge.
• Installation was done by our TSOC Crane crew.

Example 7 - 15-Ton Double Girder Top Running Bridge Crane

• 15-ton Double Girder Top Running Bridge Crane.
• 46 ft. -7.5-inch Span.
• This facility had very tight tolerances with minimal space allowed for our team to build and install a crane with a larger capacity and span than the older crane. Due to the small facility space allowed for the crane, and the minimum / maximum hook heights required by the customer this project was a challenge. Our team of engineers provided a design solution for a top running double girder crane integrated with R&M Bogie Style End Trucks and a Detroit Top Running Low-Profile Hoist.
• The Low-Profile Hoist allowed the crane operators precise control for mold handling via a two-step Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and state-of-the-art radio remote controls.
• Our Tri-State Overhead Crane (TSOC) service technicians had to remove the existing 10-ton top running single girder crane while simultaneously installing the new 15-ton crane.
• The manufacturing, fabrication, and installation was done by our TSOC crane crew.

Example 8 - 15-Ton Double Girder Bridge Crane with 15 Ton and 5 Ton Hoists

• Capacity: 15 Ton bridge with two hoists (one 15-ton and the other 5-ton).
• Load Summation with digital readout/scoreboard was installed and configured to prevent crane capacity overload.
• Wireless Radio controls with independent control for Hoist A, Hoist B, and Both Hoists; allowing crane operators separate hoist control when required. Push Button controls are installed as backups.
• Two Detroit Hoists with hoist/trolley VFD control.
• VFD controled Bridge.
• Runway Specs: 15-ton, 50 ft. Support Centers, Overall Height 30 ft - 4.5 inches, Overall Length 150 ft.
• The manufacturing, fabrication, and installation was performed by our TSOC crew (columns, runway, ASCE rail, power bar, cranes, and hoists).
• Used for transporting molds and flipping molds.
• To maximize headroom two Detroit Low Headroom Wire Rope Hoists were used.
• Bridge capacity totals 15 tons with two different capacity hoists (15 and 5 ton) allowing ease of die flipping.
• TSOC provided a full turnkey operation.

Example 9 – 15 Ton EOT Crane

• Dual Detroit Wire Rope Hoist with A / B / Both Control.

• Load summing communication between hoist to avoid overload of crane and to send total lifted weight to readout on a scoreboard mounted on the bottom of the crane girder.
• Closed Loop VFD hoist control with true vertical lift.
• Runway system was designed to allow for future expansion in north and south directions without any modifications to the phase 1 installation.
• 50 ft. Support distances on runway columns to maximize floor space.
