Crane Anti-Collision Installation and Inspection

Problem: During an annual inspection for a customer, we found someone had disabled the anti-collision systems on two cranes out of 4. This was against the company's policy, and they wanted all 4 cranes to act in the same manner in a given situation. We diagnosed the method that someone had used to disable the anti-collision systems and rectified the situation to meet the customer's requirements.

Solution: Our experienced service technicians installed the new anti-collision system and re-enabled the current systems to allow for all the customer's cranes to operate the same way.

End Result: When completed, the crane was running great, and the customer was happy.

Other Notes: While anti-collisions do help prevent collisions, damage, and wear, operators should never rely solely on anti-collisions and slow-down/stop limits, and should be aware of what is going on with the crane they are operating.
