Overhead Cranes - 1 Ton to 100 Ton Capacity Manufactured and Distributed by TSOC
Tri-State Overhead Crane has designed, manufactured, and installed overhead crane systems for industrial facilities across the United States since 1959. From compact 1-ton workstation cranes to heavy-duty 100-ton bridge cranes spanning over 100 feet, TSOC engineers each system to match the structural, operational, and duty-cycle demands of the application — not a catalog spec sheet.
Every crane we build is fabricated in-house by our engineering team, giving us direct control over quality from structural steel selection through final load test and commissioning. That means one point of contact, one accountable team, and a system built to perform in your specific environment.
Types of Overhead Cranes We Build and Distribute
TSOC's overhead crane product line covers the full spectrum of industrial lifting configurations. The right crane type depends on your facility layout, required span, load path, and how frequently and how hard the crane will work. Here's a brief overview of each category — follow the links for full specifications and examples.
Overhead Bridge Cranes
An overhead bridge crane is designed to ride on a structural steel runway, and can range in spans from just a few feet to over 100 feet. A bridge crane will consist of endtrucks, I-Beam structure, power feed, a hoist and controls.
Monorail Crane Systems
When lifting products in a pre-determined path, a monorail system is the ideal way to handle it. Monorail's have the ability transfer from system to system and can be designed to handle curves to match a production process.
Gorbel Bridge Cranes
The perfect crane for any lifting job guaranteed to increase productivity with the ability to span up to 30 ft. and lift capacities from 150 pounds up to 2 ton. Our Work Station Cranes are the ideal lifting solution!
Crane Kits
If you have the labor skills and are mechanically inclined, an overhead crane kit is a cost effective way to assemble a crane. Overhead crane kits come with endtrucks, controls, festooning and hoists. TSOC will give you beam size recommendation, and the end user can then source the bridge steel locally.
Crane Endtrucks
End Trucks allow your structural steel bridge to run on top of or below your runway system. A well designed end truck is fabricated from steel, and will take the torsional loading from the crane structure. Choose from our wide selection of manual and electric end trucks.

Industries We Serve
TSOC has supplied overhead crane systems to facilities across a wide range of heavy industries. Our engineering team understands that a pharmaceutical cleanroom and a steel mill present very different structural, electrical, and environmental requirements — and we design accordingly.

Selecting the Right Crane for Your Facility
Crane selection is an engineering decision, not a catalog choice. Capacity is only one variable — span, duty cycle, headroom, runway configuration, and the physical environment of your facility all determine the correct system.
- Capacity — required lift in tons, including below-the-hook rigging weight
- Span — distance between runway rails, which determines bridge beam sizing
- Duty cycle — CMAA Class A through F, based on lift frequency and load spectrum
- Headroom — available height from floor to lowest obstruction, affects hoist selection
TSOC's in-house engineers work through these variables with you from the first conversation — sizing the bridge steel, specifying the hoist and controls, designing the runway, and coordinating installation.
